End of Life Ceremonies

I care passionately that a funeral should be created with care and thought to ensure that your loved one’s lives are celebrated and the family left behind, are given time and space to say their farewells.

It is your last chance to show your love, so we make it count.

There is no fixed format to follow, every funeral is different and I sit with you and listen, getting to know you and your loved one.

We then create your loved one's celebration of life that captures their unique essence, together. I am happy to include religious content if that reflects your loved one's wishes.

A listening volunteer at The Samaritans for over 25 years has given me a true understanding of supporting families when there is a sudden, unexpected death of their loved one.

I am happy to officiate in Churches, Crematorium, and Burial sites, specifically Woodland Burial sites and meadows and you can book me direct, just call 07768 987040 , see below for full details of services.

Kind words

"Fiona took my sister and I under her wing after Mum passed and helped us to pull together a fitting funeral service. We only had a few starting points for the order of service and several time constraints but Fiona guided us through all our options, culminating in an perfectly fitting tribute and eulogy to Mum's broad and interesting life story. Fiona worked seemlessly with the funeral directors to ensure the service went to plan and all the resources (poems, songs, videos etc...) magically appeared when needed! Fiona also packaged up the important elements of the service as a lasting reminder, which was very thoughtful. Fiona demonstrated poise, patience, intellect, culture, calm and compassion. Our family can't recommend Fiona enough to you." K & R July 25

"We're glad we chose Fiona Mac as the celebrant for my wife's recent funeral/green burial/life celebration because she played a key role in making it a memorable and uplifting occasion for my family and all those who attended, and was a calm and reassuring presence on the day. Fiona gave generously of her time when researching with the family to prepare her eulogy, which captured my wife's life in a most empathetic way. Her delivery of the eulogy was exemplary with her clear diction and unhurried style. We wanted a ceremony that some would describe as non-religious or humanist - in recognition of my wife's views - but equally observant and welcoming of the religious beliefs of close members of the family and others present. Fiona somehow struck that balance perfectly, as judged by the complimentary comments from many of the attendees. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Fiona to anyone planning a funeral, whatever the style." Nov 24

"You instinctively knew that we want to keep a loved person with us against all odds but that is not always possible.... Thank you Dear Fiona you made a spectacular contribution at the end of a life well lived....I think the beauty of the service you led will heal ...... All I can say is - you are the best- I am so grateful that you gave meaning to ____ when they most needed it" Nov 24

Eulogy writing service for the living - some clients like to have their Eulogy and End of Life service planned in advance, so that it reflects their wishes and helps their next of kin and family with their funeral arrangements when they die - It is always a privilege to work with someone on their own End of Life service, often in partnership with their close family. The relief that is felt when all the service words are written is palpable, once agreed I then hold this file until it is needed.  If you would like to understand more about this very unique service, please contact me and we can arrange a complimentary discovery chat to discuss.

"Thank you for making a really quite strange exercise easier for me, by your kindness and patience. I am glad that you will be my Celebrant and feel confident that you will deal with the service beautifully. You do a potentially difficult job with great sensitivity, and I feel at peace and confident that with you at the helm, it will all run smoothly". J July 25.
